  • In November of 1966 construction started on a 52 foot dam which formed Lake Sainte Louise. Lake Sainte Louise is 75 acres.
  • The Lake Saint Louis Community Association was incorporated on July 14, 1967. The Covenants & Restrictions were filed on June 21, 1967. Book 476 Page 726.
  • Construction of the country club and the pool began in September 1968.
  • Construction started on the Par 3 Golf Course in 1968.
  • The construction of a 42 foot earthen dam for the 575 acre lake (Lake Saint Louis) was started in December of 1968.
  • The formal opening of the Clubhouse was held in 1969.
  • The first annual meeting of the Community Association was held in 1969.
  • The first Community Association manager was hired in 1970.
  • The Covenant & Restrictions were changed on March 2, 1970, to increase the assessment fees. Book 548 Page 671.
  • The dam of Lake Saint Louis was closed and dedicated in May of 1970. The lake began to fill.
  • Lake Saint Louis was stocked with fish by the Missouri Conservation Commission in May of 1970.
  • Water topped the spillway of the large lake (Lake Saint Louis) in December of 1971.
  • The titles to the Country Club, Par 3 Golf Course, Tennis Courts, Swimming pool, Marina, and Lake Sainte Louise were transferred from Lake Saint Louis Estates Company (developer) to the Community Association in April of 1972.
  • The Covenant & Restrictions were changed on January 1, 1973, to increase the assessment fees. Book 652 Page 41.
  • The Fire Station was dedicated in July of 1973.
  • Grand opening of the Wharf was held in December 1973.
  • In March of 1974 the Post Office announced the Lake Saint Louis zip code, 63367.
  • The bridge over the spillway was completed in 1974.
  • The original developer R.T. Crow filed for bankruptcy in 1974.
  • The Covenant & Restrictions were changed on February 1, 1982, to increase the assessment fees. Book 921 Page 274.
  • In December of 1982 severe rains threaten the small dam.
  • New tennis lights were installed in 1984.
  • The Covenant & Restrictions were changed on February 2, 1985, to increase the assessment fees. Book 1023 Page 1686.
  • The Community Association membership passed a resolution to increase the assessment fees from $355 to $450 to dredge both of the lakes and make modifications to the dams and spillways, in February 1985.
  • Wading pool for the small children constructed in 1989 and 1990.
  • In September of 1992 a professional firm was hired to prepare a Master Plan for the Community Association property.
  • In July of 1992 the Community Association became a participant in the Earth Project with the Warren County Soil Conservation District and the Warren County farm owners.
  • Lake Saint Louis and Lake Sainte Louise were lowered between October and December of 1992 to enable shoreline stabilization repairs to be made by the membership.
  • Engler Isle was developed in May 1993 for membership use on the large lake.
  • Purchase of the Jefferson Point Property for future development on the South/West side of Lake Saint Louis occurred in July of 1993.
  • There were 2,000 hybrid striped bass added to Lake Saint Louis in September 1993.
  • In November 1993 the membership voted in favor of the Master Plan projects by a 2/3 majority.
  • In July of 1994 the Community Association was a host venue for the Olympic Festival Rowing and Canoe/Kayaking events.
  • In September of 1994 the debris clean-up barge, "The Ichabod Crane," was christened.
  • There were 3295 property owners in the Community Association as of September 1994.
  • In 1994 the Community Association registered 1272 boats and rented 300 docks.
  • The start of two new swimming pools began in February of 1995. The Leisure pool has 1500 square feet and is equipped with play equipment. The Recreation pool is 75' X 25' and has six lap lanes. This is the first of the Master Plan Projects. The project was completed in June 1995.
  • All four tennis courts were resurfaced in June of 1995.
  • In June 1996 the lake was stocked with 1000 lbs. of Flathead catfish.
  • Lake Saint Louis dredging was started in May 1997 - Small cove dredging was started in June 1997.
  • A roller blade hockey court was installed in the Mystic Village area in June 1997.
  • The clubhouse was redecorated in June 1997.
  • Two Marina renovations were completed in June of 1998. The projects included 72 additional boat docks, new pavilions (one that cantilevers over the lake), new marina building (2,000 square feet), boat storage building, additional launch ramp, fishing dock, security gate systems, upgraded gas pump facilities, and increased parking.
  • Lakewood Park playground equipment was replaced and basketball court was resurfaced in July 1999.
  • A new Clubhouse will be built on the old site with completion in 2002. It will be more than double in space to serve the growing population of Lake Saint Louis covered under the Covenant and Restriction of the Community Association. Demolition of the old Clubhouse was completed in September 2001 and construction started on schedule.
